Dal 6 giugno in galleria è presente la mostra “A Jar of Happiness” che è il progetto con cui l’artista Manuela Toselli, esordisce per la prima volta a Trieste proponendo in galleria opere in seta, medium con il quale l’ artista si confronta da anni, in un viaggio concettuale, materico e cromatico dove é possibile cogliere nell’ insieme un’ epifania di bellezza, pensiero ed eleganza.
In questa esposizione che racchiude diversi cicli, o meglio: “serie”, della sua ricerca, l’artista, svela la sua arte attraverso l’utilizzo di fili di seta, intrecci preziosi e sovrapposizioni d’organza, che trasforma in narrazioni visive in cui ci invita ad entrare.
Frammenti di vita vissuta, esperienze raffreddate, fatte decantare, distillate come essenze pure e preziose così da poter guardare attraverso la superficie, oltre l’apparenza, porzioni di noi stessi che completano l’insieme, diventando tutt’uno con l’ opera. Restiamo catturati nei tessuti, siamo fili di seta, intrecciati insieme, siamo colore, viviamo e vibriamo tutti collegati nelle stesse frequenze. Ogni opera ha un significato preciso, è un pensiero intimo, un messaggio positivo, é una sintesi di qualcosa di più grande, in cui anche la tecnica abbinata in modo sapiente ed incisivo, nell’ insieme della forma, ci accarezza l’anima.
L’artista, con una sensibilità quasi alchemica, trasforma la seta, materiale simbolo di lusso, eleganza e fragilità, in un inno alla resilienza e alla bellezza inattesa. Gli scarti della lavorazione della seta, reliquie di una produzione opulenta, diventano, nel lavoro della Toselli, metafore potenti: ci ricordano che anche ciò che viene scartato può avere una seconda vita, può essere trasformato, elevato, e diventare fonte di nuova ispirazione e bellezza.
Il colore, in questa mostra, è molto più di un elemento visivo; è un linguaggio primordiale, una sinfonia emotiva che risuona nel profondo di ognuno di noi. Ogni tonalità è una vibrazione, un ricordo, una promessa. I rossi e gli arancioni intensi pulsano di passione, calore e vitalità, evocando l’energia intensa della vita stessa. I blu profondi e i verdi ci invitano a un viaggio interiore, verso la quiete e la contemplazione più intima. I gialli luminosi pulsano di ottimismo, vigore ed energia.
Ogni opera è il risultato di un processo creativo intriso di significati, di pensieri e dedizione. L’artista, nel gesto ripetitivo e meditativo della stesura dei filo o dell’intreccio, trova un equilibrio interiore, una sorta di danza silenziosa tra le mani e la materia. Ogni nodo, ogni filo, ogni accostamento cromatico è un atto d’amore, un’offerta sincera di bellezza e di sentimento.
Questa mostra è un invito a rallentare, a osservare con occhi nuovi, ad immergersi e lasciarsi avvolgere dalla magia dei colori e dalla consistenza setosa del materiale.
È un invito a celebrare la felicità nelle sue forme più semplici e autentiche, a scoprire come l’arte possa essere un potente veicolo di vibrazioni positive e di trasformazione interiore.
Un mostra che ci auguriamo diventi per lo spettatore un’esperienza capace di fornire spunti di riflessione e di ispirazione.
The exhibition “A Jar of Happiness” is a project in which artist Manuela Toselli proposes her works in silk, a medium that the artist has been exploring for years, in a conceptual, material and chromatic journey where it is possible to perceive in the whole an epiphany of beauty, thought and elegance.
In this exhibition, that includes several cycles, or rather: ‘series’, of her research, the artist reveals her art through the use of silk threads, precious interlaces and organza overlays, which she transforms into visual narratives into which she invites us to enter.
Fragments of lived life, experiences cooled, made to decant and distilled like pure and precious essences so that we can look through the surface, beyond appearance, portions of ourselves that complete the whole, becoming as one with the work. We are captured in the fabrics, we are threads of silk, woven together, we are colour, we live and we vibrate together in the same frequencies. Each work has a precise meaning, it is an intimate thought, a positive message, it is a synthesis of something greater, in which even the technique combined in a skilful and incisive manner, in the overall form, touches our soul.
With an almost alchemic sensitivity, the artist transforms silk, a material symbol of luxury, elegance and fragility, into a hymn to resilience and unexpected beauty. The scraps of silk processing, relics of an opulent production, become, in Toselli’s work, powerful metaphors: they remind us that even what is discarded can have a second life, can be transformed, elevated, and become a source of new inspiration and beauty.
Colour, in this exhibition, is much more than a visual element; it is a primordial language, an emotional symphony that resounds deep within each of us. Each colour tone is a vibration, a memory, a promise. Intense reds and oranges pulsate with passion, warmth and vitality, evoking the intense energy of life itself. Deep blues and greens invite us on an intimate journey towards stillness and contemplation. Bright yellows pulse with optimism, vigour and energy. Each work is the result of a creative process full of meaning, thought and dedication. The artist, in the repetitive and meditative gesture of laying the thread or weaving, finds an inner balance, a sort of silent dance between hands and material. Every knot, every thread, every colour combination is an act of love, a sincere offering of beauty and feeling.
