Da sabato 11 aprile al 30 maggio ospitiamo nuovamente in galleria l’artista lombarda Donatella Sommariva con questa sua nuova mostra. Ciò che Affiora è una mostra che indaga il momento dell’apparizione: quell’istante in cui la forma emerge dalla materia senza mai fissarsi definitivamente. Nelle tele a olio di Donatella Sommariva, il fiore e il paesaggio non sono soggetti da rappresentare, ma eventi che accadono sulla superficie pittorica. L’informale diventa qui linguaggio di soglia: il gesto non descrive, ma rivela; il colore non delimita, ma lascia emergere. Le immagini sembrano nascere dal fondo, come se la tela custodisse una presenza latente pronta a manifestarsi. Nulla è completamente definito, nulla è del tutto dissolto: ogni opera abita uno stato intermedio, un equilibrio instabile tra visibile e invisibile. Il titolo suggerisce una tensione verso l’emersione — non solo della forma, ma anche della percezione. Ciò che affiora è frammento, memoria, traccia organica. È natura intesa non come paesaggio esterno, ma come processo interno, come dinamica continua di trasformazione.
La mostra si configura così come uno spazio di attraversamento: un campo in cui la materia pittorica si fa luogo di rivelazione, e l’atto del guardare diventa parte del processo stesso di apparizione.
On Saturday 11 April 2026, we are delighted to invite you to the new exhibition by artist Donatella Sommariva. ‘Ciò che Affiora’ is an exhibition that explores the moment of appearance: that instant when form emerges from matter without ever becoming definitively fixed. In Donatella Sommariva’s oil paintings, the flower and the landscape are not subjects to be represented, but events that occur on the pictorial surface. Here, the informal becomes a threshold language: The gesture does not describe, but reveals; the colour does not define, but allows things to emerge. The images seem to arise from the depths, as if the canvas were containing a latent presence ready to manifest itself. Nothing is completely defined, nothing is entirely dissolved: each work inhabits an intermediate state, an unstable equilibrium between the visible and the invisible.The title suggests a tension towards emergence — not only of form, but also of perception. What emerges is a fragment, a memory, an organic trace. It is nature understood not as an external landscape, but as an internal process, as a continuous dynamic of transformation. The exhibition thus takes the form of a space of passage: a field in which the pictorial material becomes a place of revelation, and the act of looking becomes part of the very process of emergence.
